burning blush overspread his countenance.

"Shucks!" retorted Tuppence. She laughed, and closed the door, reopening
it to add with dignity: "Morally, I shall always consider I have been
jilted!"

"What was it?" asked Jane as Tuppence rejoined her.

"Julius."
